Steve Jobs today introduced the new iPhone 4 at WWDC 2010 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The iPhone 4 features a new design with both a glass front and back, and stainless steel edging, which actually functions as part of the antenna. The handset also measures at just 9.3mm thick, which is 24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS.
The new iPhone 4 boasts a 960 x 640 resolution display, offering a 326-pixel-per-inch density – “more than limit of the human retina,” according to Jobs. The new model is powered by Apple’s own A4 power-efficient processor, which should give the new phone a speed boost over the 3GS and a longer battery life. The new iPhone is powered by a 5-megapixel digital camera with an LED flash on the back and a front-facing camera for video calls. The main camera is able to record 720p HD videos at 30fps.
What’s more, the new iPhone 4 uses the iPhone OS 4 or also known as the “iOS 4″.
